World class Spinner,Indian Cricket team and  Karnataka Cricket colleague.

Kiri, the one with the Golden Glove.

I had of Kirmani as a most talented young keeper and an excellent athlete. As has been the case in Indian sport talent is found in a less fortunate middle class family. Here it is proven that what a wonderful keeper Kiri [affectionately]known was.Who hailed from just about middle class family. What a God sent gift to cricketing fraternity .

I personally met Kiri at Lords cricket ground when Kiri was with the Indian school team touring England.Karnataka state Cricket association were extremely lucky to have such a wonderful keeper to represent the state as well don the Indian color.

Karnataka Cricket has produced some wonderful keepers of reputebut one who stands out is undoubtedly KiriI took over captaincy from Subramanyam fondly known as Kunju Mani but known as Mani/Subbu in the cricketing circles .I must confess Iam lucky to have Kiri behind the stumps. Why me even Chandra one and only feels the same .I have never seen keeper keeping so comfortably to Chandra who the whole cricketing world knows that except him no one knew what he was bowling.

We played many games for karnataka and represented the Indian team together. It was a bonus for me .I am very happy and proud to say that Kiri was possibly the best ever keeper to play for indian team.

Niow it looks he has decided to pen down his cricketing experience in his autobiography .I take this opportunity to wish all the luck in his very venture .and thank him to have kept wickets for me .

All the best Kiri ,you definitely deserve the GOLDEN GLOVE!
