For My dearest Daddy,

It is a moment of absolute delight and pride to be writing for the World’s Best Wicket Keeper who is also the basis of MY EXISTENCE!

It is an ocean out there when I begin to pen my thoughts about daddy dearest ,but I am going to try and summarize my thoughts and do justice to the multifaceted magnificent personality whom I call Daddy!

I am not going to be talking about the genius that he is on the cricket field behind the wickets and the numerous records he holds but will talk about the Wonderful ,Humble and the most positive human Being that he is .

I was toddler when dad bought the 1983 World cup home .Childhood was mostly spent with mum parenting as dad was hectically traveling .Daddy’s lil girl realized how important and what an impact her father has on her once he retired from the State Bank of India after 41 years in service. It was more of a friend that the relationship had turned into from a one that of respect and distance.I NOW cannot do without his ,his guidance his warmth and his infectious eye for detail and perfection.Daddy is my biggest constructive critic and my go to person each day .The values of humility, warmth, tidiness ,large heart, positivity, trust in the ALMIGHTY and generosity are being tried hard to be imbibed from him each day .

He is the best grandfather to my children when he turns their age and cherishes every second with them.It is Eid for us when dad comes home and enjoys the various cuisines I dish out for him.

He makes a difference to many lives around him, always lends a patient ear and has a piece of advice for every fan whether young or old .His humility and warmth stands out from the rest..

Dadyjee,it was my honour in being a part of your Autobiography Journey so closely with you ,reliving many nostalgic moments. Wishing “Stumped”immense success and may it be an inspiration and guide to many .

My Strength,My Pride,My Inspiration,my Everything ..My Daddy!…I love you and wish and pray for your Eternal Health and Happiness.

Love and Respect Always ..

Nishath Kirmani Ali.
