I first had the honour of meeting and playing along side the great Syed Krimani when he came to Hong Kong in 1990. I had organised a charity match between HK and the 1983 World Cup Indian winning team. I remember the excitement awe of meeting my heroes. With Syed Bhai, we hit it off right away: approachable, funny and witty. What a thrill to be bowling with the Legend Syed Krimani behind the wicket. With his smile he put me at ease and since then we have been great friends.
In my view one of the best wicketkeepers India has ever produced; with his exceptional technical abilities, competitive spirit, and big heart, he is truly one of the greats of the game!
